Waiting on Wednesday (1)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week I am waiting on:

Crossed by Ally Condie
Publisher: Dutton Juvenile
Publication Date: November 1, 2011

In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky — taken by the Society to his certain death — only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.
Cassia’s quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander — who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia’s heart — change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever
. (Summary from goodreads)

Now, I know I didn't really love Matched, but I'm hoping that the story will really pick up in Crossed. This book couldn't come out sooner!

So, what are you waiting on?

  5. @ Sharon Thanks for following!

@ Elodie The cover is beautiful. The one for Matched is too. It's so symbolic of the story itself.

@ Jill Thanks! Glad to be a part of it :)

@ Athena Me too! I didn't love Matched, but I think that Crossed will really help the story pick up :) Thanks for following me!

  6. To be completely honested, I didn't love Matched and I found the Hunger Games to be much, much better than it. However, no offense taken :) However, Matched leaves you hanging at the end.

  7. Thanks so much for stopping by and following! That means a lot to me. I'm your newest follower!

I agree completely with what you said. I found The Hunger Games to be amazing, but to me Matched wasn't the same. It just didn't have the same intensity in my opinion. Either way though, I still can't wait to read Crossed! The cover is gorgeous!

  9. I still have to read Matched! I'm trying not to read any reviews for Matched so that I don't get thoughts in my head before reading it.

  10. @ No problem! Thanks for following me :) I loved The Hunger Games (I'm not usually one for dystopia, but it was fantastic!) and then Matched was just...eh. I'm excited for Crossed. Can't wait to find out what happens!

@ Sonny You know how I feel about it too, so fingers crossed. I'll be sure to let you know!

@ Melissa Dawn That's probably a good idea not to read the reviews. I can't wait to hear what you think of it when you do read it :)
